Mission

The World Swimming Coaches Association's primary mission is to be the coaches' voice, advocating for them at the highest levels of the discipline, including the World Aquatics. We provide high-quality and affordable education to swim coaches worldwide. We deliver the WSCA Newsletter via email, organize in-person and online clinics, grant access to a rich video library, and guide coaches in the development and management of easily maintained swimming facilities. We also facilitate the development of a strong network within the swimming coach's community.

  • Coach Michael Sköld

Thanks for clearing this affiliation issue up, and keep up the good work you do.

Of course, when you are serving coaches instead of coaching associations, you are bound to meet these kinds of issues, because coaching organizations (except WSCA) are out for power, as opposed to serving the individual coach.

    Thanks for the good work.

  • Tony Mugno

Proud to be a WSCA Pro member and love what the organization is doing. I try to make all of the webinars live, and when I can’t, I enjoy watching the replays. This past one with Coach Heidary was terrific; it was super informative, and logical with a lot of practical takeaways.

Thanks and keep doing what you’re doing!

  • Sue Bennett

Thank you, I loved listening to and watching the video webinar with Paris Payne.

I loved Paris's relaxed method and insights in creating specificity of exercises that support the individual's form in the gym and not use a particular scripted method.

I thought this was very refreshing and allowed me to think more freely and creatively about dryland exercises for my swimmers and how I can support them better.

  • Dr. Paul Robbins

It’s good to see the WSCA promoting excellence in coaching across the world. Some coaches seem to think that being professional is just having lots of experience and being successful. Professionalism means belonging to a professional organization, being qualified, competent, and keeping up to date.

  • Coach Liz Humphrey

Compliments of the season to you.

Thank you for the last 2 webinars. The best I have seen in years. Dr. Karl Hamouche and Paris Payne.

  • Coach Paul

Thank you for tackling this controversial subject and seeking to find a balance that allows for fairness to all athletes.

  • Coach Don Heidary

John Leonard’s presentation on keys to developing the novice athlete are as detailed and strategic as you will see anywhere. As one of the premiere educators in the world, John has always recognized the value, sensitivity, and long-term significance of this segment of the team. John detailed the nuances of integrating and strategically developing all aspects of the athlete. This session should be a must for every club and every coach working with those at the entry point of our programs.

  • Tiitta Elias

Very good, informative seminar. I mainly work with Masters Swimmers and as we age, proper nutrition is so important for us, not just in training but in life as well. Very happy to discuss Ms Beine's seminar with my swimmers.

As someone whose body is changing and having harder time to convert some nutrients properly, I find Ms Beine's testing interesting.

    Thank you,

  • Liz Humphrey

Thank you for motivating "jaded" coaches.

I love the part about firing swimmers. 2 seasons ago,I fired my whole senior team - 7 National qualifiers. One qualified 2 weeks later for the World Jnr Championships (That were canceled). As Coach George said - scary - but on occasions necessary. The swim community thought I had suffered a nervous breakdown - but I was exhilarated. I was so "done with both their attitude, and the expectations of the parents". I now have a great vibey team - built on a different mission, with different values. No National swimmers. Enjoying coaching again.

    Enjoy your week ahead,

    Behind you all in swimming.
